Acute arterial thrombosis in anticoagulated patient for acute pulmonary thromboembolism

چکیده

Acute limb ischemia is rare in patients with venous thromboembolism who already receive anticoagulation treatment. Inflammation a risk factor for thrombus formation. Patients active ulcerative colitis, especially at the time of exacerbation, are more prone to thromboembolism, both and arterial. The thrombosis 18% higher, higher bleeding. To date, there no contraindication any anticoagulant drug colitis. We represent case 73 year - old woman colitis hospitalized initially pulmonary that developed acute arterial when switched on novel oral anticoagulant.

Successful selective arterial thrombolysis in patient with acute abdominal thromboembolism

The paper reports successful thrombolysis conducted in 64 years old woman admitted to the clinic with clinical and angiographic data for acute surgical abdomen caused by acute tromboembolia of arteria mesenterica superior (AMS). The therapeutic approach required to undertake lifesaving decision on i.e. surgical vs. invasive treatment in conditions of emergency. Finally, it was decided to undert...

Pulmonary Thromboembolectomy for Acute Pulmonary Thromboembolism

BACKGROUND Acute pulmonary thromboembolism is fatal because of abruptly occurring hypoxemia and right ventricular failure. There are several treatment modalities, including anticoagulation, thrombolytics, ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenator), and thromboembolectomy, for managing acute pulmonary thromboembolism. MATERIALS AND METHODS Medical records from January 1999 to December 2004 at o...

Thrombolysis in acute pulmonary thromboembolism.

Acute pulmonary embolism (PE) is a common clinical condition with presentations that may vary from asymptomatic subsegmental emboli to massive vascular obstruction and shock with high risk of death. Identifying patients at highest risk for death is critical to select those who would benefit most from thrombolytic therapy. New and evolving clinical prediction models, serum tests, and imaging mod...

Imaging of acute pulmonary thromboembolism*

The diagnosis of acute pulmonary thromboembolism is based on clinical probability, use of D-dimer (when available) and imaging. The main imaging modalities used in the diagnosis are ventilation-perfusion (V/Q), pulmonary angiography, and computed tomography (CT). In the last decade several studies have demonstrated that spiral CT has a high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of acute ...

Surgical Embolectomy for Acute Pulmonary Thromboembolism

Acute pulmonary thromboembolism is a catastrophic event, especially for hospitalized patients. The prognosis of pulmonary thromboembolism depends on the degree of pulmonary arterial occlusion. The mortality of massive pulmonary embolism is reportedly as high as 25% without cardiopulmonary arrest and 65% with cardiopulmonary arrest. In patients with unstable hemodynamics due to pulmonary thrombo...
